Re:new is a non-profit organization that seeks to come alongside refugee women, giving them a voice and opportunity to flourish as they integrate into a new culture.
Out of 14 million global refugees, 80,000 will be resettled in the U.S. this year. Of those 80,000, DuPage County will resettle over 500! Refugees are in a foreign environment with unfamiliar faces and customs surrounding them. Many refugees leave their countries of origin with few physical belongings, carrying instead unsettling and traumatic experiences as their baggage.
Re:new is a response to the economic, social, and spiritual needs of refugee women in DuPage County, located in Wheaton, Illinois. Re:new provides a space to: re:late…re:cycle…re:create.
