Today, in honor of World Refugee Day, I invite you to be a part of our refugee neighbors’ journey through Re:new!
Refugee women can feel not only overwhelmed by their own circumstances, but if they have children they carry an extra, heavy burden. Our Artisans are amazing SUPER MOMS and we are so encouraged by their strength and joy!
Today, we want you to meet Dim! Dim was born in Burma and was granted refugee status and brought to Chicago. She started taking sewing classes at Re:new in 2018 and is now our newest Artisan!
Re:new Project doesn't just enhance the lives of our Artisans. The impact on an entire refugee's family can be much larger, and Za's family is a heartwarming example of that. Read the story of how three generations of one family are all a part of the mission here at Re:new Project!
One of our favorite events so far this month was when we partnered with Exodus World Service to deliver groceries and masks to those in need in our local community!
